Just a quick question. I realize the points system follows the car not the driver due to teams having multiple registered drivers. Now do the drivers have to be registered as sharing the car to be able to take advantage of this or can any driver jump in a car and get points for the normal driver? Reason I ask is if this is the case what's to stop someone from stacking the deck so to speak with a pro driver but at the end of the year the person who's registered to the car gets the trophy? Doesn't exactly seem fair to the other drivers when someone else does the driving and the person there suppose to be racing gets the credit. I think it you should have to register as a team at the beginning of the year and if someone else drives your car the car shouldn't get points.

To answer your question any member may drive any car in any race. As to the points when another driver gets behind the wheel it becomes team driving and that persons name gets added to the list. there are may reasons that a driver may get someone else to drive there car they are sick and unable to drive or work requires them to be out of town. This is why we do not require all and any drivers to be registered at the start of the season.

So someone could theoretically race the first race then let a pro run out the season for them, but the original driver would get the accolades however small they may be? Should you really give awards to someone who hasn't earned them? This it all speculation at this point but it apparently, according to the scoring system could happen.

The club should encourage girls to participate in racing and race on their own. Not to allow an experienced driver to take over the wheel to gain additional points. All this does is discourage the rest of us. Numerous club members feel the same way.

Yes cale if someone wanted to pay a pro driver to come and drive there car what you say could happen. The second driver would also have to score points then yes both names would be on the award. However since we are all amateur race car drivers with no one getting paid i don't see it happening. No one is forced to race alone teams are always welcomed the more the merry.

It's OK if you're racing different cars owned by similarly talented drivers, but when you insert a hot-shoe driver it's obviously frustrating other drivers.

Ok cale when ya get a chance why don't you send the club and its members a list who you and the numerous people feel that should be allowed to drive someone elses car maybe use a number system for talent not sure how you would rate people cause bad luck and bad days can hit anyone just anyone can have a great day. but lets bring it back to the bottom line any paid club member can race anyone's car.

I'm not a driver so I don't plan to make a list but I do know someone that would.

If this is going to change Awesome needs some notice to trim our roster. We have had at least 7 different club members in our car over the last 4 or 5 years and 2 of them are champions... I have a team awesome race magnet for anyone who can name all seven drivers. PS I am not sure who this is about because no one uses names but if it is who who I think, I watched the person in question build the car in question, so if he wants to drive it and the owner wants to allow it why should the club be charged with preventing that?

Pretty close, Christy has only ran a practice as far as I recall, there was one other championship driver who piloted the car 2 years ago

Totally forgot about T-Bone when I posted this but of all the people to answer I would have thought Browner would remember that T Bone raced it too, Did you erase that from the memory bank Glen?
