The track crew has reviewed the site and the recent warm weather along with the record rain fall on Sunday has done a certain level of damage to the site.
As of last night Warren and Denny removed the timing trailer and signs from the ice. The long term forecast is for the colder temps to resume starting Friday and into all of next week. We should have the site stable for the reschedule of the Don Kettering Memorial Weekend March 4th and 5th. According to the USA weather this has been the warmest winter on record. The goal is to get the following dates in March 4, 5th and the 12th. Feb 26 is cancelled.

Mark, I really don't know how to reply to your comments. I just came back from the site and it is healing up, but the ice at the break wall is open and we lost as we suspected the ice thickness in that area. There is open water at the end of the pit lane line up road to access the track. The entrance onto the track is also not safe there is a fairly deep hole. You should know the area well from the first day we plowed. If the weather keeps on track, the site will be ready for next week March 4th and 5th. One thing to note with this second round of rain the surface is much smoother than the last time we ran.
