It was made apparent to me after this past meeting that this club seems to be lacking some organization and communication towards its members. As of now there are only three meetings left until the season begins and yet I haven’t heard any mention of sponsorships, our volunteer base, or if we’ve been cleared to race in the same location. I understand that the executive board is made up of a majority of first time executives, and with that I am proposing that we hold two meetings per month until the start of the season. This gives everyone a better opportunity to iron out a few of our major and minor issues while getting a better view of the progress being made before it becomes too close to the racing season for it to make a difference. This club has been around for a while now and has made it through some questionable times in the past and I see no reason why it can’t continue, as long as we fix what issues we have soon enough. Open to comments, opinions or suggestions??

Firstly i am a poor example of the volunteer spirit ,work prevents my participation.I appreciate being able to go to a race event where the work force is a volunteer effort.I was not at last nights meeting and am sorry i was unable to attend as i surely would have given my opinion on what i have heard this morning. If it is true that Peter has been removed as chief steward, the club better have a LOT of good reasons.Firstly he has been a long standing volunteer and promoter of our club and sport.Peter ,for sure is not the polished diplomat, that some may want, but i have spent a lot of time at road race events and seen the effect of teams twisting the tail of a wishy washy chief steward. Our events are run as well as any i have participated at and the rules are fair.My team has been on the receiving end of the track rules and thought we were treated equal.Everyone makes judgement errors, but that is why you have other executive and judges to review and adjust. If the club has not been able to get the cheif steward to adhere or listen to needed changes, that is a problem. As a competitor i see error in this decision. If the club has just cause, that is fine.If there is no cause ,and i dont see it ,there is no harm in placing Peter back in the position where this club needs him to be. regards Ed Fukushima 98x

Thanks for the initiative Cody, it is nice to see the future generation of our club trying to help the TBAC get through a potentially difficult season with a wholesale change in BOD. I think the changes in this club need to come from the top. After the meeting last night, I believe a major obstacle in the club running smoothly this year is how the membership is being treated by the president. I know more than a few people left the meeting last night feeling insulted , myself being one of them. In one foul swoop, volunteers(some from the BOD) for the last few seasons were told that they are childish, immature, are not helping out. They were also told that they acted like students when Lucas brought up the fact that we were being treated as such. Well, these are the people that have helped run this club for the last few years to run as smoothly as it has.Is this really a way to bolster the morale of the club and keep it moving forward in a positive direction? Why would we want to help out if being treated in this manner? This has always been a social club and everyone has always been treated as peers no matter how old you are, or how long you have been racing. That has changed this year and it seems that this is one hurdle that has to be overcome to gain trust amongst the members and to gain back a volunteer base that has been lost.
