Hello everyone, Warren and Rob will be going out to the track tomorrow after work. Even though the weather has been cold there still could be slush under the corner banks.
In the mean time I would like those interested in coming out to respond to this post. If we do not have enough people interested, it would not be cost effective for the club to run the day.
thanks John..

Hey All,
not trying to rain on anyone's parade or anything, but.....
Just so you all know, only one car can go out on the track at a time during a test and tune day like this due to the kind of insurance purchased for the day. (solo-sprint)
So, unfortunately, there can be no fun races at all, and if the day is to be a success, we NEED some STUDDED cars out to scuff up the track and at least 20 cars interested to even break even for the day!! Put the word out!!
Christy
maybe an extra double weekend some time in February would be a better way to go to get some races in..

i am just wondering is that club policy or incurance policy Both actually. The insurance company states that everyone on the track be a club member and this means they are also a memeber of CASC. We could not afford to run the events without CASC association, the insurance costs would be ridiculous! As a club we rely on the revenue for our members and sponsers, so the income from you membership helps run the events. Hope this explains it a little for you.

So if someone wanted to drive, pay the x amount of $$ and your good to go? What is the cost I don't remember last year.

Membership cost is $50 but they can not be processed at the track as the information needs to be sent into CASC for insurance purposes, so you would need to see if someone on the Board of Directors could get you setup before tomorrow. In the past the Board requested members sign up at least one week before their first event, I am not sure if this is still the policy. You of course then would need access to a car? I assume you have a friend who would let you drive their car?

I would prefer a double weekend for points and not a stand alone solo event. I realize that it is a very short season and everyone wants track time
Test and tune in the past was normally with full insurance coverage and that all cars per class were on the track at once.
It will make for a long day to rough up the track and I don't see the benefit for rubber cars not have the same ice conditions on a normal race day. Slip slide away.
If I had to vote a double weekend is more beneficial.
