I would like to start by congratulating the #3 rubber car of Ralph/Dave on getting rookie of the year. Now down to business, when I raced my first year of rubber I got highest rookie in points but did not win rookie of the year. I asked why and was told it was because I was on a team. I asked if it was because the other member was a veteran and was told no the rookie of the year goes to a so to a single driver only. Now I come to find out that Darcy tillson got over looked for the award. He built his own unproven car that everyone told him wouldn't work, came out every weekend and raced his heart out and he gets no recognition for it?! What kind of club does that?! When I was racing they also gave out studded and rubber rookie trophies, we had such a low car count this year we should be praising the new guy who did well, not just the ones who got the most points.

Oh one other thing...at least the rookie trophy went to a racer. Last year a volunteer got the sportsman award so things could of been worse

I'm here to just clarify a few things.
First, the rookie trophy can go to a team but /both/ drivers must be rookies in that class.
Second, Darcy was not overlooked, I can say for a fact that he was a top contender for the Rookie of the Year award. Congrats to him as he did extremely well!
Finally, from what I know, the Don Kettering Sportsmanship award encompasses /any/ member who goes out of their way to frequently help out the club and/or other drivers. From what I see, this can be a good number of people.
