Todays news release of a extended Covid-19 Lock Down to January 23, has placed the micro Ice Racing series in jeopardy of cancellation. The Directors have decided to continue to monitor the situation. If the Thunder Bay District improves to “Orange” and the weather has not played a negative factor on the ice we will activate the series. The series will have several Covid-19 restrictions the main change is that it will not be open to the general public. If and when the situation improves additional information will be released to the membership on the complete Covid19 restrictions, memberships applications etc. The club did complete all approval gates with the Thunder Bay District Health Unit along with the Port Authority. Gary and Todd have been checking the ice at Mission Bay and conditions currently are in good shape, but we are not yet at acceptable ice thickness to plow a track. (we should be there in another week or two) The Directors hope that Covid-19 numbers in Thunder Bay improve and that we can reach the Orange Level and have some door to door fun!
