Our 50th anniversary social proved to be a great success with even more people than anticipated. Hearing all the stories from the older and not so old past members, made you feel proud to be part of a dictated group of people that love the sport of car racing, and how far the club has grown due to the ditication of all the volunteers, from the track workers to the board of directors.
Within all the stories told, one thing that always came out of them, and that was all the friendships made along the way, and that continue to this day. As the years have gone by we welcome more new young members that have evolved out of the family race teams. With this continued new interest, the Thunder Bay Auto Sport Club will always be the for runner in auto racing organizations in the city

Thunder Bay Auto Sport club will be hosting a social on Nov 3rd symposium at 6pm dinner at 7pm at the Slovak hall. Beef on a bun, salads and desert will be provided complimentary to all current members, those bringing non members will be charged $14.00 ea.
The evening itinerary will include slide shows of past races, pictures from the past, short talks from past and current drivers, and prizes. Dress code is casual, *Please no racing suits
The is a great mile stone for our club to reach this age, and wouldn't have been possible without the dedication of all the volunteers both on the board of directors, and those who brave the cold weather every Sunday to allow us to race.
We hope everyone can attend to help celebrate this great milestone.

The Board of Directors would like to thank all of the members that traveled up to Terrace Bay. The day was a great success, being the first time for the club to conduct a full day event at the Terrace Bay site.
I hope everyone enjoyed the two different tracks and the opportunity to tune your car on the skid pad.
We are hoping to do this again next year and perhaps open the event to the local people of Terrace Bay.

The club was informed last night July 13, 2017 that one of our most dedicated members Reg Metcalf has been diagnosed with cancer. Reg for many years has volunteered his hours to ensure the Ice Race Program is a success by performing track plowing, track side line up, driver intake and many other tasks too many to mention. Please access the link and the Board of Directors asks all members and friends of the club to help the family with the needed funds to support Reg and his family. www.gofundme.com/9x4ba-dads-cancer-fundThank you Board of Directors

The track signs have been installed back onto the ice. The club would like to thank the work party that came out and made the job go quickly, Todd, Jeff, Bill, Mark, Dave, Reg, Nathan and Carol, John and Amber and John S for his ice auger.
We did drill holes and there is improvement, but we will be changing the area for track entry at the end of pit lane. Todd will be out on Thursday to work on track prep for the rubber series. "Mr. Scratchy" in action! The club would like to thank Warren and Denny for their work this past Tuesday to remove the trailer and signs. - But we are heading back in a good direction for this weekend coming up March 4th and 5th - Two of four USA drivers have confirmed that they will be at Mission Bay this coming weekend.
