Just because people have opposed some of the decisions of the president is not a reason to give up or quit. If every president or BOD stepped down when up against opposition, we never would have had a club. Maybe a better suggestion is taking the criticism and not dismissing it as rubbish but using it to help the club. The only reason people are suggesting change or bringing up the fact that maybe all of the president's decisions are not in the best interest of the members is because they care about the TBAC and the direction it is heading. I do not believe it is a personal vendetta against you Keith, or to try to make you fail.

I have to disagree with you Christy A picture on the Forum of a baby giving the finger is certainly inappropriate, in poor taste and directed at myself in disrepect. If what you say is correct then the club should have no problem filling any position, and I believe you are correct. Myself and my students have also made contribution to the club and my decisions are made in the best interest of the club. As far as giving up because things get heated is a reminder to me that we are here because we are volunteers and those who are in opposition need to make there issue known respectfully and with maturity in mind, take a position of responsiblity to make changes otherwise we all lose. I am considering my position and will make the club aware of my decision very soon

The way that I see it, some of the old BOD may still be there if they were treated with respect and Maturity... They put in grueling terms, with no thanks from the membership. Some were outright abused, but still stuck around till the end. Sometimes small amounts of change would be more in order than trying to do everything in one year. Suggestions from the membership do have relevancy and should at least be considered. Try to suck it up and hang in there and things may iron themselves out.

Rick
I fail to see the relevance of posting a picture of a baby giving the finger on the forum. I also fail to see the relevance in speaking to someone in a demeaning fashion designed to destroy character and integrity or come to a meeting as a group ready to fight. Rick, I think your comments make sense and is appreciated coming from a long standing member of the club, the BOD and a long time friend

Stomping Feet and Name calling? Is this the respectful appropriate behavior you want to see from the membership? The way you behaved in the meeting? Raising your voice? Calling Names? Stomping around like a child who didn't get their way?
Arriving as a group? Pardon us for carpooling all the way across town.
Try and Lead by example, maybe people will follow.
You obviously recognize the fact that you called me childish since you are offended by my picture. Maybe I am? Maybe I already knew it? Try and have a little HAHA in your life... if you can't have fun you can't have much....
I look forward to you deleting my post, as you have done with a lot relevant information on this board.

OK OK ENOUGH DART THROWING.... with this much interest in the club (180+ views of the open letter) we should move on. Everyone that said they would help should step-up. We have a racing season to plan, and not alot of time to do it!!! WE need to work together as a team... there is no I in team.

Re ;President resignation.i also believe that getting fair criticism is constructive and required in a club but Keith should not have resigned as i believe he was trying to act in the better interest of the club .However anyone who didnt like what the executive did should state their case and then accept what the exec has decided, that is why you voted them in.I live in a business world of constant criticism, you take the input and use it to make future decisions. There may have been other stuff happening but keith should still be there as we need volunteers and club leadership.ed f

WOW!
I have been out of town for a week or so and have just looked at the board. Holly S@#$! What the F$%^ happened!
Some good points here, Curtis take the treasurers job as I see John has stepped up for another year and I said I will help him with a few things to make his life easier.
Mark maybe you could step up and make the "I" in your life part of the team and step up!
Ed, kudos on the constuctive critisim points, but remember nobody voted anyone in they all volunteered as no one wanted the job and these people stepped up because no one else would. Perhaps we will see some new volunteers for the BOD next year as John said he would only fill in for the year to make sure we are still alive...

Paul, I spoke to Curtis, and he doesn't have the time or equipment to fill this position, so "the position" is still open.
